Electrolytic nickel plating deposits a layer of nickel onto fastener surfaces through an electrochemical process — distinguishing it from electroless nickel plating (ENP), which uses chemical deposition without electrical current. Electrolytic nickel plating produces a bright, lustrous, hard finish and is widely used for decorative and functional purposes.
